It’s an epic tale of a diseased town with an eternal, malignant being lurking in its subterranean core and the unlikely group of friends who face multiple horrors–both real and supernatural–against overwhelming odds. *(However, I could not relate to one particular controversial part involving this close knit group of children. King really captured the dynamic of what it was like to really connect with a band of misfit kids who made it easy to truly be yourself and how rare it is to recapture or hold on to those relationships as an adult.* #PatrickHostetter wasn’t even the main bully in the story, but the chapter that dealt with his very real psychopathic behavior made my skin crawl.
